    I love the front door in the Moon, which John R. Neill also did in an illustration for "Ozma of Oz." Do you know which came first?

      While the George Macdonald book is older, the Pape illustrations are 1911. "Ozma of Oz" (where the Mr. Tinker picture as published, right?) was 1907.
